About me

Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to stay at home to raise my babies. I used to calculate my future, allowing for the dozen-or-so years I figured it would require for me to be able to do this. Of course, nothing goes according to plan, and although we got married when we were twenty-two, we encountered infertility and loss. Once our daughter was born, we discovered that there is no exact plan in parenting, either. I wound up “eating crow” on so many things I never thought I would do and began writing about it all, despite being raised by a mother who discouraged me from writing anything down— because it could be used against me.

So here I am, and here is my blog site. Its title is taken from a book by the same name, Where I End and She Begins, based on a line of my poetry.

I’m a creative seeker – trying to make sense of this journey and creating as much joy as I can along the way. Living in Eastern Pennsylvania after two years in Ohio and almost eighteen years in Western Massachusetts (where most of this story transpired), I am now living on my own for the first time ever and working on reclaiming my life, to steal a line from another chapter.

If you’re new to this site, maybe take a look at my first post where I explain how I got from there to here. And if you have questions, please feel free to reach out.
